How many people are also excited about the idea of a 7th Sea movie? I am actually pretty excited by the idea but I was wondering if there were others like me out there on the sea who would want to see this happen? Especially a movie that is made by actual players of the game and written by John Wick.

Random musings and discussions around anything related to the 7th Sea 2nd Edition
Does anyone know of any actual play podcasts or stream recordings of the game? I'd love to see an example of it going in action before starting with my group.
I think there are a few areas I am hazy on and listening to others always helps me learn.
Hello all !
Do someone know if translation are scheduled, if so, wich ones ?

Now that we've had some time to run a few sessions of 7th Sea, I was wondering how other GMs and players like the new Dueling Styles. How have they worked for your players? Have you encountered any that are problematic, either by being too strong or not effective?
So far, I've only had Eisenfaust used in combat in my group, but it has proven extremely effective for the player against both Brutes and Villains. The huge bonus Iron Reply gives to both defense and offense for one raise is signficant, even if Iron Reply can only be used once per turn.
Ok so a played our first game and we had a situation.
One of our players was an Avalonian Knight Brawn Major trait thing
He pushed a villian through a wall by slamming him against it with a wooden table and just pushing him through with brute force. Now according to the rules thats 1 wound. Wtf?
Getting ready to run the game for the first time one thing stood out to me, Sorcery seems quite good, and really cheap. By time I read through the sorceries I was going to make it 4 points (thinking it was 3) but then I read that it's only 2. That seems really weird to me, several of them give the player access to two abilities, making it one point per ability. Each of them easily as good as a two or three point advantage, is there something i'm missing?
I was trolling through the 7th Sea Kickstarter and remembered a few references to a region referred to as Wabanahkik/Acadia. I checked the 2e core and realized that while Ifri and Cathay get some mentions, Acadia does not. Has JWP given any information since the Kickstarter?
For a game upcoming, which of the temptations of man would each nation represent? For instance which one would each nation be more likely to give into?
Here is my first attempt but I welcome thoughts on where things should change:
Avalon - Pride
Montaigne - Gluttony
Castille - Lust
Eisen - Despair
Sarmatian - Wrath
Ussura - Sloth
Vodacce - Envy
Vendel - Greed
After listening to the last episode of the Fear the Boot podcast, I've become intrigued by the possibilities presented by the Progress Clock mechanic used in John Harper's Blades in the Dark RPG.
I read the sailing chapter last night and I'm very happy that we have different kinds of ships and some description about them. I also love that they tell you how many people you need as crew.
