The Basic Rules cover Théah as a setting, character creation, and the rules for playing the game, making 7th Sea’s core mechanics and setting available to anyone with an internet connection.

All three Basic Rules PDFs are free to share and download, and we encourage you to do just that! We’re excited to make these resources available to new players, and we hope they make it easier than ever to recruit Heroes for adventures in Théah and beyond.

So, my usual group has been planning a 7th Sea campaign for awhile now, and we're ramping up now that the Pirate Nations is sailing towards us. However, it's looking like we're going to have two characters who are pirate captains, and our GM is invisioning a story that involves two pirate crews, which would mean two ships.

Has anyone played using two player ships, and does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello,

I would like your opinion about Sanderis: Ice Deal.

Specifically the Minor Favor, that:

"Cause a character or object the losejas touches to be frozen solid, encased in a thin layer of ice. While encased, the character or object cannot be harmed or destroyed directly." (pg 255)

Let's suppose that in a combat (Action Sequence), the hero waited for the right moment to act, and in his action, the hero spends a Heroi Point and 3 raises, one to activate the favor, and another two to touch the villain.

QUESTION

How do you use Notice in 7th Sea 2ed?

Usually, in other rpgs, a player would roll Notice and the GM informs the player what the character spots. But in 7th Sea 2ed it's all about getting Raises and then using them to overcome things or take advantage of opportunities the GM tells the players about.

Well, I had hoped I would be able to ignore this problem, but I've got a player at my table who has a fairly firearms focussed character. (As strongly as one can get right now at least, three aim, and deadeye)

So I return to one of those plaguing issues, what is really stopping this player from going full blackbeard and bringing along 4 or more pistols to completely incapacitate a villain in only a few rounds?
