There was a discussion about Sorcery being inexpensive compared with Dueling Schools. One of the arguments (The main one) is that Sorcery mastery requires spending multiple 2-pt Advantages on Sorcery. I wanted to see how many points it would require to master each Sorcery for comparison:

Hexenwerk (14 points - 7 Advantages)

- Each Advantage gives 1 Major / 2 Minor Unguents (There are 7 Major and 13 Minor)

Dar Matushka (8 Points - 4 Advantages)

- Each Advantage gives 2 Gifts (There are 8 Gifts)

What does a Hero get when they take the Sorcery Advantage for Porte?

By reading between the lines it appears that a Porte Sorcerer needs only to take the Advantage 3 times for full Mastery?

1st: Mark

2nd: Pull

3rd: Walk

Is that correct?

Curious if the beast control/see/become powers requires you choose the animal once at the start and then keep permenatly or if you choose the animal from the list when spending your hero point?

"Select a form from the Animal Forms sidebar. You may take the form of that creature for the Scene."

"Select an animal from the Animal Forms sidebar. You perceive the world through all the senses of the nearest animal matching your choice."

Ok so a played our first game and we had a situation.

One of our players was an Avalonian Knight Brawn Major trait thing

He pushed a villian through a wall by slamming him against it with a wooden table and just pushing him through with brute force. Now according to the rules thats 1 wound. Wtf?

Getting ready to run the game for the first time one thing stood out to me, Sorcery seems quite good, and really cheap. By time I read through the sorceries I was going to make it 4 points (thinking it was 3) but then I read that it's only 2. That seems really weird to me, several of them give the player access to two abilities, making it one point per ability. Each of them easily as good as a two or three point advantage, is there something i'm missing?

Ok so I have an Avalonian Knight with the Legendary major glamour.

I need to lift something really heavy so I want to add my ranks in Legendary to my major trait (Brawn)

How do i do that?

Do I need a raise to use Sorcery? If i do then what raise do i use? As I don't have any till i roll but then it would be too late to add the ranks for the roll. Is it just a matter of spending a hero point?

I have a few questions about Glamour.  I was going to make a Knight of Avalon and choose Saewine the Sailor and she has Major Panache and a Minor in Finesse.  So my first question is am I locked in to taking only Panache, Finesse, and Luck?  Secondly if I am locked in to just those three can I take a minor panache or a Major Finesse?  I ask because I can see the Major Panache Glamour Subsume Ship going well together with the Minor Panache Glamour Mend Ship for a ship glamour mage.

Hey I was curious what everyone thought of the new sorceries.  I have been reading that allot of people have disliked the new Avalon Knights sorcery, and I haven't read much into that (I wasn't huge into Glamur in the old edition, spending more time studying Pyrum, Zeorstrum, and porte.).  So I have been focusing on trying to learn about the Commonwealth's Sorcery, and Matushka's Lessons.

Specifically, the Wits Glamour of the Knights of Avalon, Summon Sidhe on page 216 of the second playtest.

I'm considering making a character with the glamour, but as written, it seems impossibly vague. Not only the core book fails to really describe Seelie or Unseelie in any way, but the glamour itself doesn't give the slightest clue about the strength and abilities of the Sidhe it can summon. What does it mean to have one rank in that glamour? What does it mean to have five ranks? What kinds of Sidhe can you call upon and what are they willing to do for you?
